We Need a Carbon Tariff, Not a New Kyoto says Jeff Rubin

Jeff Rubin just had a nice little article called "We Need a Carbon Tariff, Not a New Kyoto" associated with Wednesday's Globe and Mail - check it out, a good read if you are interested in sustainability.

Jeff's argument for using tarrif for carbon emission management is the best scheme I have heard of yet, and would whole heartedly support this kind of approach.

If you are not familiar with who Jeff Rubin is, he was the chief economist with CIBC World Markets for 20years. He just left last year to publish his book called "Why Your World is Going to Get a Whole Lot Smaller". - Excellent read, and you are welcomed to borrow my copy. And there is a direct reference to the Yukon, his last chapter is set in the Yukon, fishing on McEvoy Lake!
